Aquila Lucero, named after the Spanish word for Bright Star due to the star on his head and the day of his birth (Christmas Eve, 2010), is a full brother to Aquila Lucy. Lucy is an talented and athletic mare, easy to ride and extremely trainable.
Aquila Lucero is a refined colt, with good conformation, a lovely shoulder and neck, and a friendly nature.
Lucero's sire, The Valedictorian (Tory), was assessed by Matthias Werner during the 2010 Trakehner Verband inspections. Tory wowed the assessor at the 2010 Trakehner Verband inspection, leaving the assessor "feeling emotional". Assessor Matthias Werner described Tory as possessing everything that is desirable in a riding horse, from the masculine beauty of his head to his the build of his hindquarters. Tory was awarded 80% for conformation, and 78.5% for movement - achieving 8s for his walk and trot scores, and 7.5 for canter, and 8 for swing & elasticity.
The Valedictorian shows very impressive extensions in the trot, and has huge power in his hind end - traits he reliably passes on to his offspring.
Lucero's dam, sensible and good natured Bellamie, is a big mare with correct conformation and movement. |
